Wow! The last post was August of 2007. I even forgot my password. I just happened to see my blog saved in my favorites and thought it would be good to put up some fresh posts.
What's new? Hmmm. There's a different president since the last time I blogged. I probably weigh a little bit more. I own a different motorcycle. I'm soon to be a grandpa. And probably best of all....His mercies are new every morning. (Lam 3:22,23) It is only because of His mercies that we are not consumed. What a thought! I don't know about you but I've done some things in life that I probably should have been struck dead on the spot for. I'm not proud of it but it's just the facts. But I am thankful that I serve a merciful God who came up with a great way for me to experience forgiveness and a relationship with Him. It's not by keeping some ritual or list of rules. It is by the blood of His dear Son. The wonder of wonders is that a "filthy rag sinner" can confess (own up to, admit, say the same thing that God says about) their sin and though their sins be as scarlet, they can be made white as snow by the blood of Jesus Christ. Revelation 1:5 tells us that Jesus washed us from our sins in his own blood. Water can't do it. Works can't make us right. But the blood of the sinless Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world can! I'm so glad that God has made this cleansing available to a sinner like me. It's available to you too if you need it.
